What does it cost?
Attorneys Fees:
Most cases are taken on a contingency fee basis. You only pay attorneys fees if you win!
Fees are 25% of the back benefits. We do not touch your future monthly Social Security disability benefits!
Fees are also capped by Social Security at $6,000 maximum.
If you win, you pay 25% or $6,000 -- whichever is less.
If you do not win, you don't pay any fees.
Expenses:
Since you only pay fees if you win your case, you are responsible for paying the expenses (what it costs the law firm to build your case).
Unlike some firms, we do not nickel and dime you for every little thing. Our goal is to keep your expenses low! By leveraging our "paperless" advantage, we can save you money.
- NO photocopying or postage charges.
- NO fax charges.
- NO "file set up" or administrative charges.
In most Social Security cases, the only expenses are our actual costs to obtain your medical records.
Average expenses are between $100 and $300. You can avoid most (if not all) of the expenses by obtaining your records yourself.
This is a summary only. Our information packet includes a sample fee agreement and additional information about working with the Stasiuk Firm.
