FAQ > What is Social Security Disability? > Can I get partial benefits or a percentage of disability?
Social Security disability is an "all or nothing" program: you are either disabled or not disabled. For example: you cannot receive partial Social Security disability benefits because you are limited to working part time.
This is different from other programs such as Workers' Compensation or VA disability where an individual can receive benefits based on a percentage of disability.
