If you have a diagnosed physical or mental condition which prevents you from being able to work, or you have had to reduce your work so that you earn less than $1,000 per month (in 2011) or $2010 (in 2012), before taxes and after reduction for subsidies or impairment related work expenses (IRWEs), you may be disabled.
